Become a Fresh Food Advocate: Help me rescue surplus fruits and vegetables from our partner individual farms in Morristown and Rockaway for direct distribution to families in need.
Backyard gardens and local farms in Denville and Rockaway produce more fresh fruits and vegetables than one household can eat. While New Jersey supports food-rescue programs like Farmers Against Hunger and NJDEP recognizes backyard garden surplus as a source of food donation, our work extends that model.
We Bridge that Gap
Many who need help the most avoid traditional pantries due to mobility challenges or the burden of paperwork. By rescuing surplus harvest directly from individual growers and micro-farms, we deliver fresh produce with dignity and simplicity straight to neighbors who are older, sick, unemployed, or reluctant to use traditional pantry service
